Hauoli Makahiki Hou

Happy New Year, fellow bloggers! Wishing you a wonderfully blissful 2011 filled with enjoyable travels, health and warm and loving friendships.

I've been a bad blogger lately. Facebook seems to be the social network of choice during these hectic days. I have been fortunate to have two weeks (yes!) off from work and am just about ready to relax from the holidays and some family emergencies that arose but seem to be under control presently. Today our challenge is 18 inches of snow and high winds - a classic Northeast winter!

Technical question help re: You tube

Can anyone help? I have created a movie from a slideshow (using Quicktime) and uploaded it onto You Tube. The music is not working with the Youtube video, although it is in the slideshow and in the test file I created of the movie. Any ideas would be appreciated.

PhotoHunt: Hard to Find

Took this photo of one of the residents of the Boston Common. At this time of year the squirrels are hiding their stash of acorns (squirreling them away) in preparation of the cold (barren food) season. However, for these critters the acorns are hard to find (read: they forget where they hide them). This resident was lucky to find an acorn for his meal.

Deck the Halls

We had spent Friday decorating the house and tree. So Ty and I ventured out this past weekend (what were we thinking) into Boston's Prudential Center for our holiday passeggiata. Reassured me that the true holiday spirit comes from within and not in a wrapped box with a bow!
