Thought this week's theme would be difficult as I have this 'thing' - thanks to my Irish friend into folklore - that photos of birds are bad luck. But, I did manage to get a few from my files - the lady's hand feeding the bird is from Byoto-In Temple on Oahu, the long-legged stork is on a beach in Naples, Florida and the last was taken from the beach at the street's end in Falmouth - gulls of course!
For those celebrating Thanksgiving, have a good day!

Very interesting - never heard that bad luck folklore before. Wonder where that came from? Anyway, you've got some nice photos - that stork is an amazing creature.
I got busy today and didn't watch the football game. Read about it online - said lots of turnovers and interceptions. Glad my Heels won but in all honesty, I'm only a lukewarm Tar Heel football fan. Hoops is another story....:O
Hope you have a great Thanksgiving if I don't talk to you before!
I never heard that Irish folklore saying (and I am part Irish). Amazing stork! Happy Thanksgiving to you also :)
Hi Flygirl, wonderful collection of birds for this week's theme. I too, have not heard of that folklore. That one with the lady feeing the bird on Oahu is really cool.
Thanks so much for sharing your wonderful collection. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday!
