Girasoli's post regarding cameras got my curiosity going about today's capabilities of the Nikon and the Canon, an ongoing duel in the photography community. I happened upon this well-presented comparison of some higher-end cameras by some pro photographers.
And to the question of lenses, this article is extremely helpful.

I am still deciding, more so on lenses though than the camera. It will be a while though before I can get all the lenses I am thinking about. I just need to decide which one to start with. I am thinking about the 60mm macro (does both macro and regular shots).
After seeing the video the Canon T2i can produce, I think I am going to go with this newer camera that just came out instead of the T1i.
Hi Flygirl, today I was off from work and have been enjoying catching up with everyone. I missed so many of your wonderful posts. The post about the visit from your two kids, your valentines post and your blogging posts were so wonderful.
This is a great post too. The article you posted is excellent. I visited G's blog to give her my 2 cents based upon my experience with Nikon DSLR's. I told her that she really can't go wrong with either camera as they are both really excellent quality wise and either one will be a great investment.
Have a wonderful week!
