Washington, DC

DC is a powerful, scenic, awe-inspiring place. If you haven't been in awhile, it's worth a visit - a very person-friendly city.

When we come to it
We must confess that we are the possible
We are the miraculous, the true wonders of this world
That is when, and only when
We come to it. ~ Maya Angelou

Hi Flygirl, these are beautiful photos of DC. And I love Maya Angelou's quote! I have not yet been to Washington DC. Maybe someday!

Thanks so much for sharing your photos! Have a great evening!

Is the photo with the rose the Vietnam Veterans Memorial? What is the curvy building? Beautiful photos and quote.

So what's up with the Sox? They are solidly in the cellar now. Did they get the memo that these games count? Listened to the game tonight that ended after 2:30 am Boston time. Felt bad for everyone who stayed up. Let's hope it is just a lull.

Yeah, Girasoli, no one has told them the season has started! Hope it changes rather quickly. It's getting predictably boring. While I was in a sleeping stupor last night, I did hear that Pedroia's family had death threats made against them in CA and that has diverted his attention away from the game. But, that doesn't address the pitching issue. Come on DiceK! He's rather deficient in his accuracy this year - guess Team Japan took a lot out of his stamina... menehune

BTW-The curvy building is the new Native American Smithsonian Museum - I thought a 'thunderbird' montage could be seen in the curves. M
