Wordless Wednesday

I grew up in a neighborhood full of kids and at a time when you left your house early in the morning and played in the neighborhood all day, coming home for lunch and not returning until dinner time. Besides building forts, playing hide n' seek, putting on plays, and street dodge ball, one of my favorite pastimes was laying on the grass and looking up at the clouds. We would envision all sorts of figures from those obscure shapes.

Love the photos and the memories. I grew up in a neighborhood like that too.

you know I did too. Weren't we the lucky ones. I treasure my innocent childhood. Truly the good ol days.

I used to do the same. Most of the time the days were cloud-free but on those few spectacular days with fluffy clouds it was a lot of fun to see what shapes you could find.

Sounds just like the little village I grew up in! And in one of those "coming full circle" ways, I now live in the neighbouring village, just a couple miles away from my childhood home. Pretty cool. Of course my new path will mean moving elsewhere, wherever the Spirit takes me, I will follow :) Dave's cool with that too, which is pretty amazing and wonderful.

Love your cloud pic, I kind of collect sky photos. I have a whole collection of the sky as seen from my back deck...always something new to find in that wide expanse, isn't there?

Same childhood :) Did you ever play Kick the Can? Can't remember the rules now but remember playing that and whiffle ball all summer long.
